# Trade Allowance

In order to trade on DexPay, you will need to grant allowance for the smart contract to access the tokens, more specifically when you are selling crypto.

### How to grant allowance for a Sell Trade

From your Sell Overview page click on "Sell"

A pop up comes up to grant allowance, click "Approve Token" and approve the transaction in your wallet

**You have successfully granted approval for your token.**

***Please note that you do not need to grant approval for a buy trade.***
